In early 2018, Productivity Force partnered with tier 1 contractor, CPB to help work on a major government project in Moorebank, in Sydney’s West, whilst also assisting them in meeting their training requirements through the provision of apprentices and trainees.
This project was a great example of the power of combining our work-ready apprentices and trainees from sister company Productivity Bootcamp – backed by the NSW Business Chamber, where workers are put through an intensive 8-week outdoor training program on a simulated construction; along with skilled tradespeople.
The crew allocated to complete one of CPB’s triple box culvert projects was made up of: 1 supervisor, 1 steel fixer, 2 apprentices, giving us a competitive advantage on our labour cost, helping with career development, along with assisting CPB to meet their training requirements.
This project was also the first in which we implemented our new docket system, to fantastic reviews by the CPB Superintendent and team. This system, which uses benchmarked data to measure performance on similar tasks, drove and will continue to drive individual accountability by all our workers, creating a key focus on workplace safety, productivity and quality.
